I am sure some of you have heard of this MLM company DCHL and its product i.e. Lampe Berger. I’m not sure if you all know this but this MLM company’s license or AJL has been rescinded on 31.07.2008. You can check it on the KPDNHEP website by clicking here.
However if you visit their website, they claim that the fact that the license has been rescinded is a false rumour spread around by disgruntled distributors. The news article can be viewed here. The news is aptly named “False Rumour”.
Now we have two conflicting facts here. The KPDNHEP website clearly states that the license has been rescinded but the DCHL website denies it and claims it to be a false rumour? Something funny is definitely going on here.
From what I’ve heard members of this MLM company is forcing people to join them and also forcing them to take loans to cover the cost of buying its products which are very expensive. Most of them are forced to invest up to RM36000! This kind of business can only bring bad news. Despite having a good product their methods are downright criminal.
I have personally emailed a KPDNHEP officer in order to get further clarification. Hopefully he can shed some light on this matter. Meanwhile, if any of you are DCHL members please leave your comments. I will update once I get some more answers…
I got the reply from the KPDNHEP officer, and according to them, its confirmed that the license has been revoked, although there is an appeal filed by the company to the Minister. So pending that appeal, the status of the license is still revoked. The fact that they are still operating as usual galls me, so a word of warning to everyone: Stay away until the Ministry gives a final answer on the appeal. Stay tuned for further updates…
Its been quite awhile since I’ve updated this blog and I have forgotten to update this post on Lampe Berger. The AJL license has already been renewed and will expire on 8.4.2010.
Based on the comments I’ve read, I would like to say that MLM or network marketing is a very good business opportunity. I am not against MLM or network marketing at all. I just want people to beware of the AJL license and the ethical practices of the company that is all.
